The Circuit de Catalunya has reached an agreement to host a round of the MotoGP World Championship until at least 2016.
The Barcelona track has been on the calendar since the 1992 season, but its existing deal ran out following this year's race, won by Honda rider Casey Stoner earlier this month.
However, a new deal has quickly been put in place to ensure the Catalan Grand Prix remains on the calendar for the next five years.
Carmelo Ezpeleta, chief executive of series rights holders Dorna, said: "I am pleased that the Circuit de Catalunya remains part of the history and the future of MotoGP, providing a modern facility that has for 20 years had a presence in the highest discipline of motorcycle racing.
