Former MotoGP rider Shinya Nakano has given an update on the Twin Ring Motegi circuit, scheduled to hold the Grand Prix of Japan on October 2nd. Reconstruction work on the circuit is due to be completed in early June.
Shinya Nakano has given an update on the state of the Twin Ring Motegi circuit, which is due to host Round 15 of the 2011 MotoGP World Championship on October 2nd having been rescheduled following the earthquake which struck in March.
Nakano, who since last year has been part of the promotion team for the Grand Prix of Japan, visited the circuit on March 19th, just eight days after the earthquake. He rode the track to assess its condition, and explained the current situation with regards to the repair work that is being carried out.

Built in 1965 around the existing 24-Hour track, the Le Mans Bugatti Grand Prix race circuit lies 5km south of the city of Le Mans and 200km south-west of Paris. The venue has hosted Grand Prix since the late sixties but a serious accident to Spanish rider Alberto Puig in 1995 saw it struck off the calendar until 2000 whilst stringent safety improvements were carried out.
Le Mans is a tight track dominated by first gear corners that place the emphasis on late braking and hard acceleration, whilst rear end traction is also a key area. With the capacity to comfortably accommodate up to 100,000 spectators, the Bugatti circuit also plays host to the 24 hour truck race, the FIA GP2 Championship, French Touring Car and GT races.

Honda re-perform a test of the 1000 cc motor that will be used next season. Casey Stoner admitted that test these motors are very satisfied because so far problem free.
Testing on Honda's 1000 cc motor previously been carried out in April and then by lowering the driver testers Kosuke Akiyoshi and Shinichi. The team from Japan on Tuesday (18/05/2011) yesterday re-do the test in Jerez, this time with Stoner fell directly onto the track.

Opportunities champion Valentino Rossi won the title this season after he's just still hard to start position nine. Related competitiveness Ducati, The Doctor was sure the bike can still compete with the Yamaha but not against Honda.

“We’re very pleased with this podium because we’re on the right path and especially because I had fun today. I rode the Desmosedici well, I was fast in the technical parts of the track, I felt good from start to finish and I had good lap times. This morning we made a final change to the setting and it helped cut another couple of tenths. I knew I could beat Lorenzo, so that was my goal. I also passed Dovizioso at one point, but I got a little confused and made a move on the penultimate lap instead of the last one. I lost my concentration momentarily, but in short, he got me again. Anyway, it’s fine like this; I’m happy for myself and for my team as this result boosts our morale. We still have to keep working and improving though, because there’s more to be done. I also have to improve and keep adapting my style to the Ducati, because I’m still not riding it as I should, but in the meanwhile, we’ll enjoy today’s nice race and podium.”

Stoner previously also won the MotoGP pole position at Qatar and Spain. But only in the series opener he had secured the title, because the incident involved with Valentino Rossi in Spain and only third place finish in Portugal.

Kans Valentino Rossi finished fourth at Estoril lost stolen Andrea Dovizioso. Half jokingly, Rossi compare it with the incident several years ago.
Rossi had to settle for ending the race at Estoril on Sunday (01/05/2011) night local time, to finish in fifth position. It matched his best finish for the Ducati which is also inscribed in Jerez - the series premiere at Losail, Rossi finished seventh.
