Former MotoGP rider Shinya Nakano has given an update on the Twin Ring Motegi circuit, scheduled to hold the Grand Prix of Japan on October 2nd. Reconstruction work on the circuit is due to be completed in early June.
Shinya Nakano has given an update on the state of the Twin Ring Motegi circuit, which is due to host Round 15 of the 2011 MotoGP World Championship on October 2nd having been rescheduled following the earthquake which struck in March.
Nakano, who since last year has been part of the promotion team for the Grand Prix of Japan, visited the circuit on March 19th, just eight days after the earthquake. He rode the track to assess its condition, and explained the current situation with regards to the repair work that is being carried out.
